Pre-Season Open Mat Sessions

For any of our wresters who would like to start practicing early based on the desire to compete in pre-season tournaments, especially those tournaments held in November and December, the CWO will be hosting Open Mat sessions to allow an opportunity for wrestlers to get into “wrestling shape”. We are planning on having Open Mat sessions starting Thursday, November 7th for those wrestlers who want to compete early. These Open Mat sessions are intended for any of our K-8 grade wrestlers with some experience.

The Open Mat sessions will be held from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Columbus High School wrestling room on the following dates:

Thursday, 11/7
Monday, 11/11 & Thursday, 11/14
Monday, 11/18 & Thursday, 11/21
Monday, 11/25 & Tuesday, 11/26

We will have somewhat limited instruction with mainly conditioning, drilling and live wrestling to prepare the wrestlers for early competition. Please enter the high school through doors on the west side of the high school nearest the wrestling room.
